Monolithos | Rhodes | Greece

Rhodes is an island with a great number of plant species, many of which only grow here. From February to May are of interest to orchid enthusiasts, especially from mid-March to mid-April.

Across Rhodes Island, about 50 orchid species can be found, mainly in the central hills and the mountains of Akramitis, Attaviros and especially Profitis Ilias and the south part of the island. From Monolithos these areas are easily accessible as nearer several orchid species are to be found. This makes Monolithos a convenient location for orchid hunters.

The village is easily accessible by car, located 75 km from the city of Rhodes and 60 km from Diagoras International Airport. Parking for all types of vehicles is available on site.
